Aamir takes his new job as a responsibility and not as a burden

Industrial security force for State

  • The Kerala Cabinet has decided to form a State Industrial Security Force on the lines of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
  • the force would have a strength of 500 personnel initially. Institutions using the services of the force would have to pay for it.
  • The Cabinet also decided to extend the validity of the Public Service Commission's rank lists expiring before March 31 to April 30 next year.
  • The Cabinet approved the proposal for relocation of residents of Pothankara at Noolpuzha grama panchayat from the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary area. The residents, including tribes, found it difficult to live there because of crop- raiding wild animals and other problems.

Can't stop media from carrying news about lawyers' representations: court

  • The Madras High Court has refused to restrain the print as well as electronic media from publishing or broadcasting news about representations, letters or memorandums presented by lawyers or their associations to the Chief Justice.
  • The Bench also said that it had no authority of law to give an injunction against the media from publishing news about filing of cases in the High Court Registry, on information supplied by the lawyers, even before those cases were listed for hearing before the judge concerned and orders were passed.
